La Maison Pin d'Épices

Pain d'épices is French for "gingerbread." But this house, just off route 132 in the village of St-Ulric, is called pin d'épices. Maybe because it's built out of pine (pin in French). Regardless, it makes a memorable impression. The decorations outside the front door (photo right) were so elaborate you hardly dared to speculate about what lay inside.
