Pain d'épices is French for "gingerbread."
But this house, just off route 132 in the village of St-Ulric, is called pin d'épices.
Maybe because it's built out of pine (pin in French).
Regardless, it makes a memorable impression.
The decorations outside the front door (photo right) were so elaborate
you hardly dared to speculate about what lay inside.
And the bicycle sculptures (below) crammed into the front and side yards were right up our alley ...
