| Within five minutes of leaving the polyvalente (high school) in Amqui, we were traversing rolling hills on a quiet country road passing large modern farms. Occasionally we spotted an antique farmhouse built in the traditional Québecois style. Many of the old farmhouses are now abandoned. |
