Ice Skating in Antarctica

In Antarctica skating is limited to spring, summer and fall, when there is enough daylight to see the ice, and the air is warm enough to exercise comfortably outdoors.
Who could resist the thrill of skating on saltwater ice between a line of penguins and the vertical wall of an iceberg? Or exploring a desolate mountain lake covered with glassy blue ice?
